Clan History

The Uchiha Clan is a noble clan originating from the Land of Fire. The clan's history predates written records along with their great rival, the  Senju Clan. It has been said that these two noble clans shared a common ancestor. The Uchiha Clan is reputed to be the Land of Fire's most powerful clan, producing shinobi that are exceptionally talented and battle-oriented. Because of their Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan as well as battle prowess, the Uchiha Clan has come to be known as one of the two strongest clans in the region, the other being the Senju Clan. The irony of this renown is that both clans have had a strong rivalry since any member of either clan can recall. Rumored to have ancestral ties with the Senju Clan that stems from the legend of the Sage of the Six Path, the Uchiha Clan has always been a Shinobi Clan of nobility, proving their worth over generations. In previous years before the Land of Fire came to gain so much land, the Uchiha were constantly hired by daimyos that were in direct opposition to those that hired the Senju Clan.

The Uchiha are famous for their powerful chakra, exceptionally strong techniques, and natural aptitude for anything combat-related. The clan possesses an innate aptitude for Fire Release nature transformation, with even the youngest of members able to use it from just observation. As such they have created several unique Fire Release jutsu and use this nature transformation more skilfully than many Shinobi in the lands. Their signature technique the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, is important socially as well as in battle as young clan members are not considered adults until they can master this. Today, the Uchiha Clan and it's many banner-clans are officially being backed by the Land of Fire Daimyo and are constantly called upon as the countries main military might. The Uchiha Clan is happy to partake, as it give them further chances to prove their superiority to other clans and test their battle strength.

Description:
The Uchiha clan were most feared for their powerful Sharingan, a kekkei genkai which gives them the ability to see the "colors" of chakra, allowing them to analyze and copy their opponent's skills, along with a number of other abilities. The Sharingan gives Clan members a natural proficiency with ocular genjutsu. Though rare, some Uchiha Clan members are able to awaken an advanced form of the Sharingan known as the Mangekyō Sharingan. This can be activated by experiencing the pain of losing close friends or family members. The Mangekyō Sharingan grants the user the ability to utilize the Blaze Release :: Enton kekkei genkai that is unique to the Uchiha Clan, as well as other powerful ninjutsu and genjutsu. However, frequent use of the Mangekyō Sharingan has been noted to cause deterioration in the user's eyes and results in blindness. Only by taking the eyes of a sibling can one's vision be restored, a process that results in the creation of an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. The Clan possess some techniques based on their Kekkei Genkai that are considered forbidden techniques (Kinjutsu) because their utilization causes the user to go blind instantly.
